DIOR

Spring implies happiness, color and youth. Dior's Spring 2015 Haute Couture collection embodies that principle through and through. The crowd witnessed a fun 'boho meets mod' vibe, with graphical, 'pop art' treatment in fabric prints and embroidery. Multilayering effects, miniature pleats and free use of ribbon detailing representing bands of color spring forth and capture the imagination of the jet set offspring in their 20s. Fresh and youthful, the use of plastic and vinyl proved an unexpected surprise, which I suppose is the point of couture. I loved the models' plastic, thigh-high go-go boots paired perfectly with graphic bodysuits, miniature appliqués and multi-layering over shift dresses. Dior, a go go.
