Best three words to describe this season's couture effort from Giambattista Valli. Quite frankly, I've been more of a fan of his shoes than his dresses, but I'm turning a corner. His floral appliqués this week in Paris got me thirsting for more from this hot Italian designer. Prints, gorgeous lace and tulle layering effects scattered among the Easter pastel palette that is so perfectly SPRING - pinks, lemons, lime sorbets, form cloud-like textures among furs, cape accents and silk skirts. Of note were deliciously embroidered silk tunics and pants that rounded off a collection that reminded me of the best things about being a girly girl (which I never thought I was).
