Haute Couture Spring 2015 - Recap: Atelier Versace
ATELIER VERSACE
If there was any collection that celebrated the curves of a woman, it would belong to Atelier Versace. This is hardly a surprise given Donatella's at the helm; which is why she's dressing most of Hollywood these days at red carpet events. And with Versace's Spring 2015 Haute Couture collection, her love of the female form was presented in clingy silhouettes sporting strategically placed cutouts to (barely) cover any private bits that A-listers and twenty-somethings of the jet set would dare tease the crowd with. In fact, she seriously went happy with the laser cutter. Models donned bold, primary colors of the French flag - Parisian reds, royal blues, while the rest of the collection stayed primarily black and white. The simple, understated pieces were somewhat unexpected for couture, but then again, Donatella does what she does best. I personally loved the jet black pantsuits earlier in the show, which actually seemed more appropriate for the RTW shows coming up in March. What do I know? A-listers are flocking to Donatella in droves; but wondering who will show up with these nearly nude evenings gowns would be a fun wager.
