FW17

Each x Other FW17 at Paris Fashion Week

Each x Other presented a very ecclectic mix of styles for its FW17 collection - a mix of street style one day and cool girl conservative attitude the next. It was tough to pinpoint its focus, and perhaps that was intentional. From multi-layering of the standard suit jacket (like the stand out mustard blazer with a frill lapel line and gusset-boxed pockets) to its multiple use of satin, velvet, fur and laser-cut details on yet a different suit.

Christian Wijnants FW17 at Paris Fashion Week

Christian Wijnants, a Belgian designer, is known for creating rich, colourful graphic collections that have won him numerous awards. His FW17 collection showcased recently in Paris is a perfect example of his work. Loads of prints - in multiple layers coupled with textural elements in both silks, knits and synthetic fabrics offers an immediate contrast to the typically muted winter palette.

Manish Arora AW17 at Paris Fashion Week

I have been a fan of Manish Arora's colorful approach to fashion for several years now and have always been so impressed with his use of color and the intersection of his traditional Indian techniques with the more modern silhouette. Arora, originally from New Delhi, is considered by many in the fashion industry as the John Galliano of India. Take a look at my pictures from his AW17 show in Paris featuring his collection of ready-to-wear and see for yourself...
