JINYA Ramen Bar Opens at TELUS Garden
JINYA Ramen Bar, a well-known chain of ramen restaurants from Los Angeles has opened up its newest location in the TELUS Garden complex in downtown Vancouver. Its entrance is located just a couple of blocks up the street from their previous location on Robson and is a much larger space, featuring a central bar with a floating 'living ceiling,' dotted with lush plants overhead. At the media event last night, I sampled a number of different appetizers off their menu including brussel sprouts tempura (a big highlight!), salmon poké in a crispy wonton taco shell, along with several different servings of ramen, of course. My favourite of the evening was the vegan ramen - so ironic as I'm such a carnivore. But the combination of flavours along with the broth was a winner for me.
