Let's face it, with the current weather we've had in Vancouver (i.e., rain showers, torrential downpour, more showers, light drizzle, five hours of sun, rain, and more rain) it's been increasingly hard to get motivated for Spring. Yes, April showers bring May flowers - and the streets of Vancouver are now lined with cherry blossom trees in full bloom. But honest to God I'm sick of waking up every morning staring at the rain and I've lived here my whole life!

So you can imagine why no Vancouverite in their right mind would stay inside on the rare occasion of sunshine in the forecast! That includes me, of course! Keith and I shot out into downtown Vancouver like a canon on this particular day. I intentionally went without a coat or jacket, but instead with a lovely wool Floriane Fosso vest, imagining (and being rather hopeful) that this sunshine would continue to last. This was my very careful ease into Spring - remaining in neutrals perhaps because I knew deep in my heart that the sun would be short-lived.

It was a glorious day, indeed, and I managed to soak up every last drop of sun that I could. Now that I look back on these photos (while also looking out at my back yard where the rain is slamming into my window) I'm dreaming of the next sunny day and outfit - perhaps I might even include florals! What a concept!
