As much as I love the whole menswear influence of wide-legged trousers - like in my last outfit - I’m a sucker for a romantic billowy blouse or beautiful velvet detail on the trim of a skirt. I fell in love with this Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini lace dress ($1,715) from Holt Renfrew that made me feel like I was one of the queens in Game of Thrones. During the shoot, my photographer Airisa Selfere was getting me to move and sway to emphasize the fluidity and motion of the dress. It really took no effort at all as I felt so feminine and so beautiful wearing it. 

The dress has almost a contemporary take on its medieval influence - the cut is very flattering for all body shapes. And with the amount of food I’ve been consuming lately, maybe that’s a good thing! We purposely did the shoot behind an obscure building to give off a more European look and feel. In fact, the columns that Airisa had found made me feel like I was in Rome and not in Yaletown!

Now if only I had somewhere to go in that dress…
