Spring weather has finally landed in Vancouver. For a while I was getting a little worried that we'd never get warmer weather; but if this past week was any indication I'd say summer's nearly here!

You always know that spring has arrived in the city when the cherry blossom trees are in full bloom - like when I was recently in downtown near the convention center. While there were plenty of these blossoms in the northern end of downtown, they're pretty much ubiquitous anywhere in Vancouver. We might as well treat it as the official flower of the city! The other one is the magnolia - again, those beautiful trees are everywhere.

I decided to pull out a recent vintage purchase of mine - a gorgeous pink tweed jacket - that matched perfectly with the cherry blossoms. Wearing it makes me happy; it just screams spring.
