Spring Has Sprung!

As many of you know, among the many things that I juggle I'm also a textile designer with my partner in crime, Alison Kent of Studio West Designs - and together we are the duo behind Joue Design. We are two artists who take designs from our original artwork and create handcrafted, lifestyle goods. Today, we're launching our Spring 2016 collection of luxury throw pillows. 

This season, the focus leans toward botanicals, in particular the Magnolia and Cyclamen - in hues of indigo, grape and rose - a delicate nod to the well-manicured gardens of Notting Hill and Luxembourg Gardens. As with previous seasons, this collection is based on Joue’s original watercolour artwork that reflect the growing trend of large and traditional blooms that are seen on numerous runway collections of the fashion world. Marrying trends between fashion and home decor, Joue strikes the perfect balance for distinguished consumers who are design and fashion savvy.

‘Georgina’

The ‘Georgina’ collection, based on the original watercolour paintings of Joue Design, evokes the clean but delicate lines of the Cyclamen. Georgina and it’s partner, Gemma, kick off Joue’s first floral collection of luxury pillows with a quaint, traditional bloom painted in a variety of colors. Available in both Georgina White and Georgina Blue, there’s a color to suit many decor themes. The collection is printed on a linen/cotton blend on both sides, with a hidden zipper at the bottom.

‘Gemma’

A love for the large, lofty early spring blooms of the Magnolia trees found all over North America and Europe shows through in the Gemma set, available in Gemma Pink and Gemma Blue. Gorgeous, lush, and full of the anticipation of Spring, Magnolias are a beautiful home accent. The collection is printed on a linen/cotton blend on both sides, with a hidden zipper at the bottom.
