Although many of us in Vancouver are complaining about the rain and grey clouds this week, one of the benefits of such weather is the ability to shoot very moody editorials. Witness this shoot that I recently did with Carolyn Tanaka. A very talented photographer, Carolyn was able to capture some pretty stunning, rich and creamy shots (yes, there are such descriptors for photography) on a particularly rainy day in Vancouver. We were out at Pacific Spirit Park by the University of British Columbia but were predominantly sheltered by the tall, majestic trees surrounding us. It also provided the perfect amount of diffused light to create the most gorgeous moody shots I’ve ever had taken of me!

And this environment was perfect for the stunning Zara dress that pays a fitting botanical tribute for the occasion. I’ve worn this dress numerous times now and I can never get sick of it. Zara is killing it this year and this dress is the perfect example of this company knowing exactly what their customers want.
