Nope. I’m not ready to give it up yet. I’m in denial.

The fact that we’re only two weeks away from September may spell the end of summer for some (especially those getting prepped for back-to-school - ha, like me!) but I’m just not ready to do it. I can’t imagine giving up the liquid sunshine pouring into my apartment at 5:30 am; nor the heat that comes along with it. Ah, those wonderful sweaty nights of sleeping with nothing between you and the sheets (or with no sheets at all). Hours and hours at the beach and pool, surrounded by the scents of sunscreen and hotdogs. The fireworks competition at English Bay, and the number of hours earlier you have to arrive just to nab a tiny patch of sand to view the spectacle. The weekly festivals that happen all across the city anchored by dozens upon dozens of food trucks. The constant dust and dirt you have in your car from the number of visits to the beach. BBQs, bonfires and beer. 

There’s only two more weeks left and I’m in denial.
