It ain’t the Holidays unless you have some Insta-worthy sleepwear - and in my books, I count on Smash + Tess to provide the cutest options. Check out this Morning Person Nightie, made of soft rayon from a bamboo and cotton blend. If you’re a fan like I am, stay tuned for a ‘Black Friday’ sale on November 25 (more details to be revealed then) plus their new holiday collection that’s set to launch on Friday, November 18th! You heard it here first!!
4. Taelen Black Velvet Scarf by Club Monaco, $79.50
Available online at clubmonaco.com or at Club Monaco stores
If there’s one fabric trend that’s hot this season, it’s velvet. It’s all over dresses, jackets, pants, hats, and of course, scarves. This one by Club Monaco is the perfect skinny scarf in a plush velvet that is super versatile. Add it to your outerwear or even your holiday party dress for that perfect, added texture to complete the look.
5. West Beach Candle by Kit and Ace, $68
Available at Kit and Ace stores
The sense of smell is perhaps the most powerful out of the five senses, for me, anyway. Every scent brings back a memory - and so it’s no surprise that I make a beeline toward every set of candles I see and immediately start sniffing them (yes, I have a problem). This West Beach candle by Kit and Ace is no exception; aside from gorgeous packaging (aka perfect gift giving material, yo) it’s made of soy wax with notes of coconut milk, water lily, leafy greens, sandalwood and cedar.
6. Bluetooth Suitcase Turntable in Turquoise, by Victrola $99.95
Available at Indigo Chapters Stores and online at chapters.indigo.ca
For the painfully hip bestie. I mean, seriously; have you seen anything this cool? This portable suitcase turntable includes built-in Bluetooth technology to wirelessly stream music from any Bluetooth enabled device, 3-speed turntable (33 1/3, 45, 78 RPM), built-in speakers, 3.5 mm aux-in jack for playing music from any non-Bluetooth device, RCA jack and headphone jack. It also comes with a carry handle so you can take your tunes wherever you go. This thing is sick!!
7. Brilliance Tough Case for iPhone 6/6S/7 in Rose Gold, by Case-Mate, $99.95
Available at Indigo Chapters Stores and online at chapters.indigo.ca
For the girl who has everything. I mean everything - get her this iPhone case with over 800 genuine crystals. It offers military strength impact protection through a full shock-absorbing layer and it’s just as tough as it’s stunning. With a budget of $100, you’re a bit limited on getting her bling but this might be the closest thing yet!
8. A Gift of Invigoration by Aveda, $79
Available at Aveda Experience Center retail stores
I grew up on Aveda products and their wonderfully scented shampoos. For the Holidays, Aveda’s Gift of Invigoration pack features their most popular Rosemary Mint aroma, that will certainly give you that pick-me-up first thing in the morning. The set comes with Rosemary Mint Body Scrub (200 mL), Hand Relief Moisturizing Creme with Rosemary Mint Aroma (40 mL), Rosemary Mint Shampoo (250 mL) and Rosemary Mint Conditioner (250 mL). Feel the tingle and the ahhh.
9. Vetiver & Fleur Botanical Body Cream by Sangre de Fruta, $64
Available online at sangredefruta.com
This incredibly rich body cream is hand made in small batches in Vancouver by the new body care line Sangre de Fruta. Vetiver essential oil is combined with floral and citrus notes from Ylang Ylang, Bergamot and Grapefruit that lends a sweet and dark combination that appeals to both men and women. This stuff is so fresh (no preservatives, no fillers, no artificial scents) that you are encouraged to use everything up in 6 to 12 months.
10. Grey Knit Vest by Oak + Fort, $68
Available at Oak + Fort stores and online at oakandfort.com
I have a certain weakness for grey sweaters or knits of any kind. I also have a weakness for anything by Oak + Fort. So it should come as no surprise that this elongated grey knit vest would make it to the list as the perfect marriage of obsession meets collection. Featuring a front slit plus ribbing details at the neck and hemline, this is a perfectly modern piece that will easily become a classic in anyone’s wardrobe. And by the way, I’m a size small in this one, in case you’re buying for me. :)
