Giving Thanks
Pumpkin spice lattes, butternut squash soup, crunchy leaves on the ground, grey sweaters and boots.
It’s Canadian Thanksgiving weekend and I have so much to be thankful for. At this time of year, we think less of the material items we have and more of the family and friends around us. These special people who have shaped us in one way or another. Your tribe. Your squad. I have been so blessed in my life to have two beautiful, healthy children and together with my boyfriend we’ve created a wonderful, lovely home. I can’t imagine a life without being surrounded by friends and family I love and who love me in return.
To even have the opportunity to take stock in my blessings is a privilege. In this day and age of negative media coverage we can easily be overwhelmed by the terrible things that occur in this world. While not to turn a blind eye, we do owe it to ourselves to enjoy the moments in front of us and appreciate the simple joys that we experience and the beauty that we encounter. Because that’s important too.
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

C.
