Cocktail of the Week: Whiskey Sour
This is one of my favourite cocktails that I learned to make at home and the secret to this winning formula is the egg white - but you must shake it on ice to froth it up before adding it to the rest of the ingredients. Trust me - it will make all the difference in your sipping experience! Enjoy! xx
Whiskey Sour
Ingredients: 60 ml Whiskey (preferably Wild Turkey), 30 ml Lemon Juice (freshly squeezed), 15 ml Simple Syrup, Dash of Egg White (from one medium egg is fine), Dash of Bitters.
Directions: Place egg white in a boston shaker with a couple of ice cubes. Shake well. Then pour all other ingredients into the boston and fill with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into an ice-filled sours glass and top with a skewered raspberry or cherry.
