Elie Saab, the designer best known for some of the most desirable evening gowns worn by A-listers, recently unveiled his PreFall 2015 collection. This self-taught genius who started out at the age of 9 making dresses for his sisters (now why couldn't my brother do this for me??) states a mission that marries "folk fantasy" with the "modern nomad". I'd like to say I'm a modern nomad as I can't seem to stay away from airports these days. And boy could I use this collection on some of my trips.

Black is a predominant color (duh - it's Fall, after all) but it's punctuated by lace and floral prints that are washed in a watercolor-like effect, especially with his evening wear. I love what he's done here on the dresses, truly capturing the effect on a canvas - so gorgeous.

And look away, PETA, as fur appears freely throughout the outerwear collection while continuing to incorporate lace and embroidery. A striking and tactile collection.
